Lithgow Information and Neighbourhood Centre (LINC) is a not for profit community based organisation. At LINC we offer a range of services including NDIS programs that include individual support, group and social skills. We have 3 homes specific to supporting people with a disability. We manage many CHSP programs including Meals on wheels, home maintenance and home modifications and social support to people over 65 years. LINC has a commercial kitchen where all the meals are cooked and delivered by the wonderful volunteer team we have on board.
Doreen’s Place is a day centre for frail aged people with priority given to people with dementia including Alzheimer’s. The service operates on a Thursday and Friday in a family home-like environment which provides appropriate socialisation for a small number of people and respite for their carers. Transport to and from the service can be provided if required within the city limits.
LINC also supports the community by running community events and food relief programs as well as supported playgroups and facilitates parent education training. LINC offers a Child youth and family counselling service at the Neighbourhood Centre as well as facilitating counselling support programs in schools. We have a multicultural program which supports people in our community with social skills, language, visa applications, resume writing and cooking based programs.
