A free, 24-hour emergency/crisis service for people with acute psychiatric illness and/or distress. It will direct people to the right care, allowing people with a mental health issue to speak with a mental health professional about their symptoms. The mental health professionals staffing the line will assess the urgency of the call and make appropriate recommendations about follow up treatments. Carers, mental health professionals and emergency service workers can also access advice and relevant services.
