Mental Health Advocacy Service

A free telephone advice line that provides free legal advice on mental health law. It can provide services including:
- advice for people with a mental illness, their carers or family members
- refer people with mental illnesses to the appropriate services in the community
 -represent mental health consumers in inpatient settings who are under the mental health act
- represent involuntary patients when in front of a community treatment order tribunal
- link someone with a mental illness, their carers or family members to the appropriate services in the community
