If you live or work in the region, we would welcome your participation in one of our upcoming online Community Connector training sessions. This training is useful for neighbours, volunteers, hairdressers, taxi drivers, retail workers, pharmacy assistants, health professionals – anyone who has contact with older people, especially in the current Covid-19 climate.
Being a Community Connector is about having the knowledge and skills to signpost people, services, activities or information when you come across someone in your day to day life who may need it. This training will help you to connect people, particularly those who may be isolated, using your local knowledge and this directory. This is locally tailored training to signpost local supports to people to benefit their health and well-being. For more information and to register click here
