Peer CARE Companion Warmline is a suicide prevention call-back service providing a safe place for people with a lived experience of suicide to connect with others with a similar lived experience for a chat, in a shared space of compassion, understanding, and respect.
They can assist in providing relief from emotional distress, explore coping strategies, and help you find additional online resources and information.
Peer CARE Companion Warmline does not provide crisis intervention or counselling services.
Whether you have lost someone to suicide, are supporting a loved one in crisis, have survived an attempt, or have been living with your own suicidal thoughts, the warmline will connect you with a trained and supported Peer CARE Companion who has a similar lived experience of suicide. You can call them on 1800 77 7377, this telephone line is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and you will recieve a return call within 48 hours.
