The garden follows basic permaculture principles and uses organic growing methods. It aims to provide a community space for people to RENEW, REFRESH and CONNECT. It continues today as a great community initiative employing these ideas:

  • Working bees are on Wednesday and Saturday mornings from 9:30.
  • To enjoy your time with us, only do what you feel able to do - it will always be appreciated.
  • Please wear appropriate gardening gear - e.g. closed shoes, sun protection.
  • Clean and return any tools after use.
  • Check what jobs are written up for the day - or discuss with another member.
  • When in doubt, check with a committee member.
  • Feel free to make any suggestions to improve and grow our community garden.

Springwood Community Garden encourages gardeners of all levels of experience. We share knowledge with beginners - and each other. At our regular working bees, we also harvest whatever is available to share with members on the day. Thanks for becoming a member and joining us in growing our garden and community.
