At Harman Foundation, we specialise in providing assistance to the Indian sub-continental community particularly Punjabi including temporary visa holders and refugees. Within our organisation we have case workers who speak Hindi, Tamil and Punjabi. Our mission is to provide: 1. Support to men, women and their children who are escaping, experiencing and recovering from Domestic and Family Violence. 2. To work within existing care arrangements to provide long term measures to prevent violence against women & children in an area of high need. 3. Operating the HER House with accommodation for up to 5 women. 4. To provide Sikh Chaplaincy for all age groups, working with the community to uphold spiritual and moral values. 5. To provide food and essentials for the needy. 6. To provide awareness and prevention programs through educators, doctors and specialists. 7. We work with existing providers to provide seminars, forums, workshops, art, drama and sport.
