The Men's Shed is an organisation whose primary focus is the provision of a safe, friendly and healing environment where men are able to work on meaningful projects at their own pace in their own time in the company of other men. A major objective is to advance the well-being and health of their male members and to encourage social inclusion.
The Penrith Community Men's Shed focuses on a location where men of all ages can come and meet together, do a project, learn a new skill or have a chat.
Some of the projects and activities you can choose to participate in include:
- Making furniture
- Restoring bicycles for local schools
- Fixing lawn mowers
- Making cubby houses for charity raffles
